Charlie Sheen Does NOT Have Secret Divorce Deal

Charlie Sheen Does NOT Have Secret Divorce Deal

According to RadarOnline, Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have reached a secret financial divorce deal but according to statements from both Charlie and Brooke this is NOT true.

As reported by RadarOnline:

The plan is to keep the settlement and divorce announcement secret until Charlie is done with his legal ordeal in Colorado. Until then, both sides will publicly maintain the marriage is still on and no decision has been reached.

“But it’s over and the hardest part has been worked out – the money,” said the friend.

As reported by Gossip Cop:

Not so fast, say reps for Mueller and Sheen.

According a statement released from both sides: “They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated. There has been no financial agreements between the parties of any sort. Stories to the contrary are false.”

Conan O’Brien NOT Going Back To Old NBC Studio

Conan O’Brien NOT Going Back To Old NBC Studio

According to HollywoodLife, Conan wants to broadcast his new TBS show from his old NBC studio but according to a source close to Conan this is NOT true.

According to Gossip Cop:

HollywoodLife should really start replacing the phrase “EXCLUSIVE!” on its stories with “ANOTHER DOOZY!”

The site, regarding facts with the glazed indifference typically reserved for airplane seatbelt demonstrations, concocts another “scoop” with a post claiming Conan O’Brien “wants to broadcast his new TBS show from his old NBC studio!”

“Conan considers the NBC building home,” an “insider” tells HollywoodLife. “He’s hoping to make a deal to return.”

No… he’s definitely not.

The host is “lobbying for his return… to the NBC Universal Studio building,” the site continues.

No. No no no.

No he is not.

O’Brien wants “to use the set he felt so comfortable (sic) on The Tonight Show!” cheerfully explains HollywoodLife.

Yes, because the word most associated with O’Brien’s time on “Tonight” was… comfortable?

(Cough.)

Let’s veer back into reality.

Conan O’Brien is NOT “lobbying” to get his old studio back.

There’s “no truth to this whatsoever,” a source close to O’Brien assures Gossip Cop. It’s “not happening.”

O’Brien is “definitely going elsewhere” to shoot the TBS show, Gossip Cop is told.

Chris Pine NOT To Play Captain America

Chris Pine NOT To Play Captain America

According to rumors, Chris Pine (Star Trek’s Captain Kirk) is close to signing on for Marvel’s film The First Avenger: Captain America but according to sources close to Pine this is NOT true.

According to Perez Hilton:

We’d love it if he laid his shield on us!

It’s rumored that Paramount and Marvel are close to signing Chris Pine in the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America.

The Star Trek alum is the current frontrunner, but it could be anyone’s game. There are several other people in talks for the role, but they better decide fast.

The First Avenger: Captain America is scheduled to be released July 22, 2011.

Can’t wait!

There is NO Date Set For Final Conan O’Brien Tonight Show

There is NO Date Set For Final Conan O’Brien Tonight Show

According to a number of outlets including People Magazine, the last date for Conan O’Brien’s Tonight Show is set for January 22nd but a source for The Tonight Show says that NO date has been set.

According to People Magazine:

We’ve got Tonight? Not after Jan. 22.

Conan O’Brien’s last night as host of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien will likely be next Friday, a source close to O’Brien tells PEOPLE.

“Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week,” says the source.

According to NBC, a pre-scheduled hiatus for the program starting on Jan. 25 has been on the calendar for months.

“Everyone is working as usual in getting the show on,” says a source at the Tonight Show.

According to Gossip Cop:

A rumor picking up steam this afternoon claims next week will be Conan O’Brien’s last as host of “The Tonight Show.”

Many outlets are buzzing that a definite end date is set for January 22. “Conan O’Brien’s last night as host of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien will likely be next Friday,” reports People magazine.

“Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week,” adds People’s source.

However, Gossip Cop reached out to several insiders, and a source very close to O’Brien tells us “no date has been set.”

That same source adds that “The Tonight Show” has a pre-existing hiatus week, beginning Jan. 25, but — until everything is settled — “everyone plans on doing more shows the following week [February 1].”

Gossip Cop would like to stress that because of the nature of the dispute (and on-going negotiations), things can change, but as far as O’Brien and his production team are concerned there is no set end date — yet.

We’ve got Tonight? Not after Jan. 22.

Conan O’Brien Will NOT Move The Tonight Show

Conan O’Brien Will NOT Move The Tonight Show

NBC executives want to move The Tonight Show to 12:05 to accomodate the Jay Leno Show at 11:35 but Conan O’Brien says he will NOT do the Tonight Show at that time.

Statement From Conan:

People of Earth:

In the last few days, I’ve been getting a lot of sympathy calls, and I want to start by making it clear that no one should waste a second feeling sorry for me. For 17 years, I’ve been getting paid to do what I love most and, in a world with real problems, I’ve been absurdly lucky. That said, I’ve been suddenly put in a very public predicament and my bosses are demanding an immediate decision.

Six years ago, I signed a contract with NBC to take over The Tonight Show in June of 2009. Like a lot of us, I grew up watching Johnny Carson every night and the chance to one day sit in that chair has meant everything to me. I worked long and hard to get that opportunity, passed up far more lucrative offers, and since 2004 I have spent literally hundreds of hours thinking of ways to extend the franchise long into the future. It was my mistaken belief that, like my predecessor, I would have the benefit of some time and, just as important, some degree of ratings support from the prime-time schedule. Building a lasting audience at 11:30 is impossible without both.

But sadly, we were never given that chance. After only seven months, with my Tonight Show in its infancy, NBC has decided to react to their terrible difficulties in prime-time by making a change in their long-established late night schedule.

Last Thursday, NBC executives told me they intended to move the Tonight Show to 12:05 to accommodate the Jay Leno Show at 11:35. For 60 years the Tonight Show has aired immediately following the late local news. I sincerely believe that delaying the Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. The Tonight Show at 12:05 simply isn’t the Tonight Show. Also, if I accept this move I will be knocking the Late Night show, which I inherited from David Letterman and passed on to Jimmy Fallon, out of its long-held time slot. That would hurt the other NBC franchise that I love, and it would be unfair to Jimmy.

So it has come to this: I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of The Tonight Show. But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction. Some people will make the argument that with DVRs and the Internet a time slot doesn’t matter. But with the Tonight Show, I believe nothing could matter more.

There has been speculation about my going to another network but, to set the record straight, I currently have no other offer and honestly have no idea what happens next. My hope is that NBC and I can resolve this quickly so that my staff, crew, and I can do a show we can be proud of, for a company that values our work.

Have a great day and, for the record, I am truly sorry about my hair; it’s always been that way.

Yours,

Conan

Jerry Seinfeld NOT Replacing Conan O’Brien

Jerry Seinfeld NOT Replacing Conan O’Brien

According to PopEater, NBC has their eyes on Jerry Seinfeld to replace Conan O’Brien on the Tonight Show but according to a source at the Tonight Show this is NOT true.

As reported by PopEater:

Thanks to Conan O’Brien’s disappointing transition into the ‘Tonight Show’ chair, I’ve heard NBC has their eyes on replacing him with none other than their golden boy, Jerry Seinfeld. Is a big old change on the horizon for struggling NBC and their late-night lineup? Just what does NBC’s spokesperson say about this?

Chris Cuomo Has NOT Resigned From ABC

Chris Cuomo Has NOT Resigned From ABC

According to Radar Online, Chris Cuomo, one of ABC’s most high profile journalists, resigned but this is just NOT true.

As reported by Radar Online:

RadarOnline.com has learned. Cuomo tendered his resignation by email.

Cuomo is co-anchor of Good Morning America and a regular contributor to ABC Evening News.

Cuomo’s departure comes amid growing speculation that the Good Morning America anchor chair is going to George Stephanopoulos who will take over when Diane Sawyer moves to the Evening News later this month.

Cuomo may be headed to NBC’s Dateline.

As reported by Gossip Cop:

Here’s what’s right: The spelling of Cuomo’s name.

Here’s what’s wrong: Everything else.

Gossip Cop hears that Radar’s report is 100 percent inaccurate. Cuomo has NOT resigned from ABC.

We’re told Radar’s false alarm has sent shock waves through the offices of ABC, which is now concerned that they may lose the respected newsman, who’s being courted by other networks.

It’s well known throughout ABC that a Cuomo departure would not only be a huge loss to the news division, but it would also take a tremendous toll on the morale of the staff, which is quite fond of Cuomo.

France Goes Ahead, Makes Clint Eastwood’s Day

France Goes Ahead, Makes Clint Eastwood’s Day

According to E! Online:

This morning, French President Nicolas Sarkozy not only welcomed the Oscar winner into the French Legion of Honor, but elevated him to a ranking normally out of bounds for foreigners—that of commander.

The honor is one of the nation’s highest and is reserved for those who have made great cultural contributions to the country, a point not lost on Eastwood, who referred to France as his “second home” and to Sarkozy, jokingly, as “my president.”

“This is a wonderful honor,” he said. “It is just a great pleasure for me. I really love France. I love movies, and I love the appreciation that the French people have for movies.”

We here at PressBack are huge Clint Eastwood fans and don’t normally post these types of stories but in honor of Clint, here it is.
